FAQs

Our rates range based on space rented and number of hours each month. Kitchen space ranges $21-27/hour, Prep space ranges $15-17/hour. Special 'overnight' rates available (11pm-6am). For those renting the kitchen 25+ hours per month, dry + cold storage, subject to availability, will range $25-50/month. Once you have completed the application and done the tour, a more detailed pricing list will be provided.

Once you have completed your initial session with a Kitchen staff member present, and complete the required Key Holder Agreement, you will receive your own personalized Key Code which will offer you the opportunity to schedule kitchen rental time 24/7.

  1. Read through this page & FAQ list
  2. Complete the Application Form, it obligates you to nothing, but helps us ensure that we are a good fit for each other
  3. Schedule a time to tour the kitchen and meet with one of our Kitchen Staff who will answer questions for you
  4. Say yes! Then once the requirements are fulfilled, you will be ready to begin!
  • Proof of Insurance, listing MollyCake Inc. as an additional insured in the amount of 3m
  • Proof of a valid Halton Food Handlers Certificate
  • Submission of a $300 Security Deposit
  • Completion of the Agreement & Key Holder Agreement
  • Once all of that is complete you can schedule your initial work session which must take place at a time when a Kitchen Staff Member is available to be present for you
  • Not a requirement of the kitchen, but highly encouraged and a Health Department requirement is your Health Department Inspection (people often schedule this during their required initial work session)

For insurance we recommend Grant Leslie at Desjardins or for short term / single use insurance you can try Duuo. Any valid insurer is fine, but one of these two might get you started.
