Macaron Day (Jour du Macaron) was first launched in 2005 by Pierre Hermé, a renowned French pastry chef, to celebrate the delicate French treat while supporting charity. Inspired by the love for colorful, airy macarons, the event quickly spread beyond France, with bakeries worldwide offering special flavors and donating proceeds to various causes.
In Canada, cities like Toronto, Montreal & once again, Burlington embrace Macaron Day, turning it into a delicious annual tradition where pastry lovers can enjoy special treats while giving back. For every Macaron Package sold donations will be made to the Princess Margaret Ride To Conquer Cancer; $5 for 12pc / $7.5 for 18pc and $10 for 24pc.
Flavours will include classics such as; Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Lemon, Pistachio, Raspberry, as well as limited edition flavours such as Brown Butter Caramel, Espresso, S'more, Strawberry Bubble Gum, Earl Grey & Orange Blossom Honey, PB&J, Hot Cross Bun.
