Approx. 2lbs (900g) offering approx. 36 cookies, depending on cutter size and thickness.
Ingredients: AP Flour, Butter, Sugar, Egg, Baking Powder, Vanilla, Salt.
Baking Instructions:
- Thaw dough in fridge for 24-48 hours in it's original packaging
- Allow dough to come close enough to room temperature that you can roll it out and cut cookies, but not so soft that it becomes unmanageable to work with
- If adding in Options (see ideas below), do it now, just sprinkle some on top of hand flattened dough, fold it over on itself, gently roll a little and repeat as desired
- Roll to desired thickness (approx 1/4" is a popular size) and cut shapes as desired
- Place cut cookies on your lined or greased baking sheet and chill in fridge or freezer until nice and firm while oven pre-heats
- Pre-Heat oven to 335
- Baking times will depend on the size and thickness of the cookies and your oven, however, an average 3" ish cookie night take 7-10 minutes.
- When done, the top of the cookies will be a little puffed up, bottom & edges will be a very pale golden
- Allow to cool before moving or decorating
Helpful Notes & Options:
- If the dough becomes too soft, put it in the fridge or freezer for a few moments
- When baking, remember to keep the shapes on a sheet to approx. the same size so that they will cook evenly (ie. don't mix 1" cookies with 3" cookies on one sheet)
- OPTION: sprinkle cut shapes with sugar before baking
- OPTION: before rolling, without over mixing, gently add in some grated chocolate, sprinkles or mini candies
